Why should I hire an outdoor lighting specialist?
There is something to be said about doing it right the first time.

ARTISTIC - Like any artist, we use design techniques to create the outdoor
portrait. We will determine how the property is used and viewed (from the
inside and out), determine focal points and create a balanced, rhythmic, and
attractive portrait of your outdoor room. As a painter uses different brushes,
we use various fixtures, bulbs (wattages, beam spreads and louvers) and
angles to paint an attractive portrait.

TECHNICAL - Voltage drop is a portrait killer.  Voltage drop is obvious as seen
by yellow and orange light output. We circumvent voltage drop with the
techniques and technology used with each installation. Each bulb we install
will receive between 10.8 and 12 volts, which has three key benefits -

    1) provides the best color light output
    2) provides consistent light output
    3) maximizes bulb efficiency.

You estimate X# lights?  I don't want my yard to look like Disneyland.

Many homeowners underestimate the amount of lights necessary to properly
illuminate their yard. An attractive portrait has rhythm and balance, which is
absolutely critical in lighting. The eye's pupil naturally dilates with darkness
and closes with light. This in turn strains the eye and irritates the viewer. A
balanced portrait has rhythm, balance and will soothe the eye, not strain it.

What is the difference between your equipment and the equipment at the local
hardware store?

Our installations are built to perform, and last. Nature's elements of
chemicals, machinery, animals etc.. are brutal and will take their toll on
inferior products. We use the latest and greatest technology in our systems.
The fixtures are made of non rusting materials such as bronze, brass or
stainless steel (unless otherwise specified). The transformers have
incremental voltage taps to accommodate for voltage drop and primary /
    secondary breakers for extra protection.

Why is outdoor lighting so important?
A beautiful portrait of light....
  • creates a sense of relaxation.
  • enables you to appreciate your beautiful landscape at night, when it looks
    best.
  • provides safety.
  • transforms your home into a resort.

How much does it cost to operate a low voltage system?
A fully loaded 900 watt landscape lighting system operating for an average of
5 hours per evening costs about $13.50/month ($0.09/hour) based on   $0.10
    /kWh.

How much will a professional outdoor lighting system cost?
Our outdoor lighting systems are tailored to your lifestyle, home and
landscape and are built to last (not replaced). Our systems consist of
commercial grade, warranty protected equipment not available to the general
public.  Over time your investment in a quality VLC lighting system will prove
to be a far greater value than the average alternative. You will have a lower
maintenance, more durable, energy efficient and trouble-free system that
adds value and equity to your property should you ever decide to sell.
